“I’ve been a member of Chicago Sinai for as long as I can remember.
I do feel like there’s a path that has been carved for me at Sinai – my grandparents and my mother and two generations before were all very active and involved in temple life.”
“I’ve followed in my mother’s and grandmother’s footsteps by serving on the Board of Trustees. I’ve also been involved in other ways like co-chairing the Search Committee for Rabbi Greene’s position, helping plan two galas, serving on the Search Committee for Rabbi Limmer and helping to start the Young Professionals Group.
“One of my fondest memories of my grandparents? For the High Holy Days, my mother would drive my younger sister and me to Hyde Park to attend family services together. In the afternoon, my grandmother would take us back to their apartment to make caramel apples while my grandfather and mother attended the rest of services.”
“In 2015, Rabbi Limmer married me and my husband, and we’ve now started several traditions of our own. My favorite is hosting Hanukkah dinner for both sides of the family. It’s a great chance for everyone to come together over brisket and latkes.”
“I’ve never considered that Sinai wouldn’t be a part of my life. It’s a gift – and best of all it comes with a beautiful community.”
